That's the Hoosiers prequel. Back when Coach Dale was just an assistant coach and had to climb into the rafters to fetch the basketball Nick Nolte's Coach Bell character had just just kicked up there in protest of a bad ref call moments earlier. There was a bit of a weird timeline alternative reality sub-plot thing going on that never really played well. The writer was actually ahead of his time IMHO. I read an article quoting Nolan referencing this movie as a major inspiration in his own writing. Neat stuff. I'm glad to see another fan
