I am depressed, what should I watch?

Tools

I am having the worst life at the moment, wouldn't bother explaining.
Internet could care less for my problems.

Planning a nice lonely weekend, shutting myself away from the world.

What movies should I watch?

I explained my grief hoping you'll recommend wisely as to what works for you'll in times like these.

Thanks to all.

Legally Blonde 2 is a movie about achieving your goals by giving the best of you. It's a nice comedy film so it won't make you sad just crack into tears of joy . And what a better color than pink!

First: sorry. I dunno if "the internet" cares, but I think most of us do.

Second: is this the kind of sad that makes you want to watch something happy to stave it off, or the kind you kinda want to dive into and explore by watching more sad stuff? Or that third thing where you want super super awful sad stuff that makes your sad stuff seem more manageable?

I tried my preferences, hasn't been helping lately. Hence asked what works for you'll or what you'll expect to work.

I am clueless as to whether I want a feel good movie or something so depressing that makes me accept things the way they are.

I suggest if you want to "lose yourself" for the whole weekend to go ahead and binge watch a tv series thats revered which you hadnt seen yet. Any genres you like specifically?

I'd prefer if you recommend it and not go by my taste.

I started watching Felicity lately, it's kind of nice.

The last good show I enjoyed was Bojack Horseman. Somehow it made me understand how helpless we all are.

Well then suggest I will!

Have you seen any of these??

The Walking Dead
Game Of Thrones
Deadwood
The Sopranos
Justified, but skip the last season.

If youve seen these I have others...

I have seen few episodes of all except Sopranos. I don't think I am interested in them now.
Thanks.

I'd like something bittersweet I guess, something I could relate to.

"I smell sex and candy here" - Marcy Playground
Maybe Intruders (1992) will be up your alley...

Im just throwing out what I know is good...

Rectify
Friday Night Lights
First 3 seasons of LOST
Middle seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer
The Shield
Breaking Bad

I always watch How I met your mother, when I'm down.

How does that song go again?
Raindrop on roses and whiskers on kittens.
Bright copper kettles and warm wooly mittens.
Brown paper packages tied up with string
This are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites,
when the bee stings,
when I'm feeling sad.
I just simple remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so sad

watch Nurse Jackie. There's 7 seasons but they're only 30 min episodes. Edie Falco is great as Nurse Jackie, it's funny, dark and she's such a really capable character yet a devious drug addict at the same time.

yuck!

try these comedy gems

captain ron
pure luck
serial mom
walk of shame
ghost town

have a big bowl of good popcorn and a big glass of favorite soft drink at hand

alienate yourself in order to have a good time while watching.

Well I'm sorry to hear that – looking at your favourite films I must say that Monty Python and the Holy Grail would cheer me up for starters . That was really my way in to Python and I loved it.

This hooker movie will cheer you up. It's not glamorous, but it's uplifting.
