Got really excited to watch the Industry season one finale last night. Afterwards…disappointed.

None of the conclusions were satisfying and the friend group got turned upside-down, because?

Harper’s bipolar? Seemed kinda messy and lost some steam. I’m still in, but that was a dud of a season finale.
Don’t remember it being a dud at the end, but I watched it a long time ago.

I probably watch more TV than movies, my fave TV shows are Columbo, A Touch Of Frost, Rising Damp, Only Fools And Horses, Birds Of A Feather, Keeping Up Appearances. I also like documentaries, Murder Detectives, Trawler Men, also biographies of famous people.

Have you seen Poker Face? Very C21st Columbo and obviously influenced by it IMO.

I haven't seen it, I'll check it out though thanks!

Just finished S2 of House of the Dragon. Only 8 episodes this time and it was mostly a setup for the war that will surely take up most of S3. I've read that the entire show will wrap up with S4. So far I've heard of several people saying that it's better than Game of Thrones. But I think that's mostly lingering resentment over the way Benioff and Weiss wrapped that up. HotD is less cluttered but some of the peripheral characters and younger nobles are weak and not very interesting.

I really enjoyed the 1st season and look forward to the 2nd

Finished series 1 of Parks and Recreation.

Only negative for me is Aziz Ansari, can't stand him.
Never could get into this show.

Watched all sixteen seasons of this show on Paramount+. Nobody is more surprised than me that I loved it.

Netflix bought the latest season of 7 episodes (different format apparently) so looking forward to that.

Never would I think I would like a show about cheerleaders.

Loved the 7 episodes of America’s Sweethearts Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Same format as the original show. Hope there will be more seasons.

Was getting close to being out on Industry. All of these people are so gross and devoid of morality. It was getting hard to root for any of them and then I watched s2e5. A homecoming episode of sorts. Giving a little basis for why these people are broken toys helped right the ship, for now.

The drug use stuff is getting a little unrealistic. Harper is not smoking meth and then meeting with a client.

Halfway through S4 of The Boys on Prime. They really need to wrap this up already because they're just basically going in circles and covering old ground. Homelander's a f*ckopath, Vought International is an evil, monolithic corporation with it's tendrils creeping into every aspect of people's lives. Every season they introduce yet another creepy right wing baddie while the supposed good guy/lefties are largely ineffectual milksops or out and out screwups. The good news is that S5 is supposed to be the final season. It doesn't premier until 2026 though.

She’s not?

Meaning, “would not be able to smoke meth and then go meet a client”.

I haven’t had that experience, but enough “life experience” tells me she wouldn’t be that composed, among other things.

Finished up S4 of The Boys. The last couple of seasons have started out slow and then built momentum. I suppose that's SOP for all episodic TV shows. They didn't give Butcher much to do this season outside of slowly dying but he still managed to be the absolute loosest of loose cannons. It should all come to a scalding boil it's final season. Too bad we have to wait so long.

Nobody told me that season 2 finally arrived for this show. Almost missed it. I love this show.

I’ve enjoyed more than my share of ‘junk” tv, but this show is atrocious. (People love it in their comments.)

I watched the pilot episode of the new show High Potential. It premiered last night on ABC and CTV. It's about a single mom who works as a cleaning lady but due to her brilliant and obsessive mind ends up helping the police solve a murder. This is reminiscent of shows like Castle or The Mentalist. I enjoyed it and will check out next week's episode. I would rate the pilot of High Potential an 8/10.

I DVRed "High Potential", but I haven't watched it yet. It sounds like it could be the next great detective show.
Hopefully I'll find time to watch it this weekend.

OPEN FLOOR.

I watched the series premiere of Matlock starring Kathy Bates. For most of the episode, I was somewhat underwhelmed but there is a twist late in the episode that changes things. Kathy Bates does a good job, but I'm not sold on the rest of the cast yet. There is some potential here. 7/10 is my rating. Anyone else check it out or plan to check it out?

I’m going out on a limb and assuming you meant season 1 not series 1. I loved this show too.

I watched the High Potential pilot and was not impressed even though I love Daniel Sunjata. It was just a little too cutesy and hard to swallow for my tastes.
