I initially wanted to say this, but if Mad Max and Blade Runners have kept their qualities up, why should they stop?

All of the above. Not that I care because I can't be bothered to watch assembly line movies filled with saw dust and day old bread.

There are some that I would be fine continuing. Scream, James Bond, Inside Out, and Dune could still be good to do more.

The only Dune I would want to see continue would be David Lynch's version, and that's not happening.

The franchises that already exist are beyond salvation, sorry can't be helped
I am more worried about future franchises getting cooked up by talentless Hollywood execs. So many things to destroy, so little time!

I've never thought of James Bond as a franchise, maybe because the word wasn't used when these films were still popular? It's more like a recurring event, I think.
