RATING: 3.5/5

This movie is an adaptation from an essay by David Sedaris. Most critics bashed this film but I felt it was a hidden gem (I found it on Netflix). I never read the essay so I can't compare to the reading but in my opinion this movie makes you reflect upon your own life. Without spoiling, this movie is about a Yale graduate who wants to see how life is "on the other half" so he takes a bus across the country to try a different life style. He is a self proclaimed atheist who finds himself in a small town full of church goers. This movie does talk a lot about religion but it isn't too preachy and it's the adventure and transition of the main character that makes this movie so moving.
