It's at the tip of my tongue and I can recall the name for the life of me!
Details are these:

• family (w/ children) move into a new house
• horror genre
• scene where little girls horse is drowned in pool in backyard
• a man breaks into the house
• house is in a wooded area
• scenes with snakes I believe
• movie made sometime after year 2000

I havnt seen it in years and I cant remember everything about it but I know I loved it and want to see it again.

this may be the case w/ the bad guy. I think he used to live in the house they moved into, and went to jail for some time and when he gets out of jail he finds out that new ppl moved into his house. So he tourments them trying to make them move away and when they dont thats when he breaks in and tries to kill them. I'm not 100% sure ( i hope im not confusing another movie) but i'm pretyy sure

I know exactly what movie your talking about but my mind is blank on the name or the name of any of the actors.
I remember where the redneck who is tormenting them lets a lot of snakes loose in the house. He always plays a redneck character but I can't think of his name.
