Or it could be Belgium, not sure. It's a comedy. Its main feature is that it contained no dialog (or very little) and I think it was set in a windmill. I remember a few persons sitting around a table, eating. That's about it. Hope it's enough.

Babbette's Feast almost fits your timeline and it does involve them eating without doing much talking. I don't remember a windmill.

Thanks OHForums, but no, it wasn't Babette's Feast. I don't think the eating was the main topic of the movie, they did other things, too, as far as I can remember.

Probably a comedy. Since it had no dialog, some of the humour was physical, if I recall correctly.
