The movie was about a woman with children who continued her husbands radiation fallout research. I can't find it. I have tried and will continue to try.
Synopsis: The husband was working for the military (Air force?) to research radiation.
When he inadvertently discovers that the military covered up radiation poisoning of ranchers, the military tried stopping him by reassigning him, but he continued the investigation, so the military ended up poisoning him and we next seem him being institutionalized (basket weaving) in an asylum. The wife picks up his research and discovers the truth.
I am wondering if there was any truth to the movie or if it was fiction?
I remember the wife driving a long way with children.
I remember horses from the ranch and the ranchers being uncooperative at first.
I also remember the husband basket weaving.
I believe the fallout took place in Nevada.
