LIMITED SERIES & MINI-SERIES

Just cannot get into this show. Watched 3 episodes, but very confusing storyline. Huge fan of Ben Wishaw & Knightley, but they couldn’t save it for me. Renewed for season 2.



An amusing caper set in Quebec. Margo Martindale excellent as always. One thing I did not like was for a few seconds seeing caged minks waiting to be killed & skinned. We didn’t need to see that & I won’t watch season 2.

Lots of French-Canadian actors & they’re all really good & the back & forth in French & English is amusing & there’s not a ton of it. (Subtitles definitely needed though.)

@Stirchley ... I'm with you on the Black Doves stuff. I've watched one episode, and although I enjoyed the plot twists and the way they were handled, it somehow feels contrived. Like, "Look! Bet you didn't see THAT coming!" I have a feeling that kind of self-aware cleverness will continue. It's good to see Knightley doing something so far removed from her usual fluffier stuff, but I dunno... Might watch episode 2 to see if it feels any different.

I almost bailed after the pilot. Wishaw so wasted in this. Coming on the heels too of another Brit series “The Diplomat” didn’t help since it’s excellent.

Also Hollywood, look at all this cool ass gun stuff. Yippe Kie Yay, kids!

Every once in a while one sees a post that is completely unfathomable.

In fairness, that happens more often when one is a bit slow.
