The struggles of female film Directors

This Twitter thread from the Director of 'The Love Witch' is worth a read. Staggering that she faced so much sabotage and obstruction:

Did the director have trouble cause she was female though? Male directors have had the same kind of trouble.

i'm not saying it didnt happen - i dont know thename - but not all crew see a movie the work on. Not all actors do either. it really needs context. Pretty bold tweet, though.
