Best Movie Opening Ever

This might just do nobody any good.
Fairly new (minor spoilers (it’s an anthology film)):

Steve McQueen in pajamas in Bullitt

Two of a kind: The dawn of man from 2001 and Plainview’s silent introduction in There Will Be Blood.

Once Upon a Time in the West has a great one. Pure Leone tension. “You brought two too many.”

Touch of Evil’s legendary long take.

Magnolia’s “on the nature of chance.”

Aerial copulation in Dr. Strangelove.

And, from my all time fave, a fable like introduction to man who couldn’t and wouldn’t hide his flaws...

Ah yes, the gratuitous hand shot. Love it.

That's stunning, Saunch. I havent seen it but nice intro.

Hellloooo Cindy - Scary Movie (2000)
I'm sure there are better ones but on a personal level. Terminator 2's opening bar scene. The two towers, how the camera moves into the cliff and we follow Gandalf down battling the demigorgon and maybe Goldeneye's opener.

Gladiators opening battle is also noteworthy. Love the music in The last of the mohicans and Platoon. Blade two has a very cool opening no joke. Goodfellas non linear narration draws you in, same can be said of Casino.

I'm sure I'm missing plenty but these came to mind. Hope everyone has a great day. Press that like button if you agree with my post and press it even if you don't. Appreciate it and I appreciate you.

Skyfall when I thought Bond died was my favourite.

“Hell will hold no surprises for you.”
The Lolita opening is very underrated. Sellers and Mason are great.

My favorites would probably be The Godfather, Kill BIll Vol. 1 and Once Upon A Time in the West.

Murder on the Orient Express

Totally love it

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Superman 1978, epic intro followed by THAT theme.

LOTR - Two Towers, epic Gandalf vs Balrog fight down Khazad Dum.

Another vote for Wild Tales. I'd also add:

I Saw the Devil
The Dark Knight
The Shining road / car opening credit sequence
I've always liked the faux "Lunar Industries" montage in 'Moon'
Men in Black opening credits (closing credit sequence is awesome too)
Jaws. It's just terrifying.
Raging Bull opening title sequence is beautiful

and this:

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right

"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
For me, it's Johnnie To's opening to Breaking News, which is a 7-minute long take shot
