The 29th Hall of Fame

I forgot the opening line.
When I'd received roughly half of the ballots, Das Boot had what appeared to be an unassailable lead, with the only likely challenger being Goldfinger. By the time there were only 2 ballots yet to be cast, Goldfinger had joined Das Boot in first place, but the pack was a lot closer. Those last two ballots were enough to see Das Boot dethroned, and Anomalisa, by gaining nearly everyone's good graces, was crowned the winner.

I still think Das Boot will win.
I know, I'm always right. This one time, I thought I was wrong about something, but it turned out I was mistaken.
Well, that didn't age well

Seriously...four of you had Das Boot at #1....and someone thought Anomalisa was the worst film.

Das Boot is an action film where you have no suspense because nothing of consequence happens until the last 10 minutes. And because it's so famously long you know that every suspense scene is undercut by the knowledge that everyone is going to be fine.

Anyways happy for Anomalisa it was my favorite film of 2015 good winner

2022 Mofo Fantasy Football Champ
Shockingly the first animated film to ever win a general Hall of Fame! It was bound to happen at some point but didn't expect it here.

1. The Year My Voice Broke
2. Goldfinger
3. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
4. Anomalisa
5. The Promise
6. Vengeance is Mine
7. Stroszek
8. Tomboy
9. Das Boot
10. A Moment of Innocence
11. Robot

Congratulations Torgo for choosing the inductee film for the 29th Hall of Fame (that means congrats for winning!). Nicely done!

BIG Thanks to Phoenix
for hosting and a damn fun unveil too! Super job!

Das Boot should have been 8, perhaps 7. I just felt it's length quite a bit and admittedly that factored into my placement of it.

1 Das Boot (1981)
2 Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
3 Anomalisa (2015)
4 Goldfinger (1964)
5 The Year My Voice Broke (1987)
6 Stroszek (1977)
7 Vengeance is Mine (1979)
8 The Promise (1996)
9 Robot (2010)
10 Tomboy (2011)
11 A Moment of Innocence (1996)

The top 5 of my ballot were all great, maybe even 1-6. The rest were good too.

I just didn't bother to check them, but I have seen and liked films from before the 50s:
(these are just for feature films, not shorts)

283 from the 40s
221 from the 30s
73 from the 20s
24 from the 10s

previous to 1910, I have seen some short films, but no features.
