Careful what you wish for

Lots of ppl, hate on House from '86...I love the film! Lots of cool atmoshpere and music..so there's a tv movie feel due to some of the brighter lighting in some scenes, and some of the supporting cast..and the suits are rubbery, and it's not scary...damnit

I hope your low scoring of House doesn't put you off watching House II: The Second Story which is a brilliantly camp and absurd movie and more entertaining than the first in every way
I didn't plan on it, but that sounds more up my alley than the dated wackiness of the first.

And the title of King of Laziness goes to...
I have a link to my Letterboxd in my sig where you can read reviews for a lot of those. My standards of formatting would make it hassle to repost so many. Sorry.

Noteworthy for not just the introduction of Roy Rogers but beef billboards too

Patriots Day (2016) (Dir. Peter Berg)

Championing America's mythologized self-conception obscuring the imperialism that fuels these attacks, Patriots Day draws upon the same scapegoats George Bush peddled in his "Why do they hate us?" speech all those years ago: It's our freedom, our multiculturalism, our democracy!

The boat Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found hiding inside of had a message scrawled inside outlining his motive for the crime: US wars in the middle east and the slaughter of the innocent as a result. Any movie purporting to interrogate terrorist acts that doesn't address the long history of US instigation is nothing but agitprop.

From Lone Survivor to Deepwater Horizon to Patriots Day, Peter Berg is Leni Riefenstahl for the American Empire, working exclusively to protect power. This is porno for boot lickers.

I didn't plan on it, but that sounds more up my alley than the dated wackiness of the first.
I don't blame you, all I remember from the first movie is being bored out of my mind, the second sequel (think there is a few) is a different animal altogether and does not take itself seriously whatsoever, it's like they knew the first one sucked and so could do whatever the hell they liked, just don't expect a horror film, there's like prehistoric birds and old friendly zombie guy lol.

Nice review @Joel

it's like Disney on some low grade pot
I remember thinking Spielberg on some low grade pot.. close enough

Mænd & høns [Men & Chicken] (Anders Thomas Jensen, 2015)

Bit of a mixed-up tale but quite funny at times
