Miss Vicky's Loyal and Willing Slave
Just realised a couple of errors with my update. Somehow I missed The Dark Knight Rises which was one of the B&M purchases. And when I put Sweet Sixteen I actually meant Sixteen Candles.

I have a B&M's walking distance from me... might have a look.
It was quite a while back now that the offer was on, no idea if it still would be. In total, over trips to two stores, I ended up with 17 DVDs! As I said I actually picked up a few I normally wouldn't have but just got caught up in the blur of the bargains! So I got all these for £1.99

Bodyguard, The
Contagion
Dark Knight Rises
Green Lantern
Hangover: Part II
Italian Job (1969)
Journey 2 the Mysterious Island
Land Before Time
Life As We Know It
Neverending Story
Pretty in Pink
Rango
Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows
Sucker Punch
Town, The
Where the Wild Things Are
Wacky Races complete series

They also had Argo, Shutter Island, Cowboys and Aliens, Drive, Contagion Due Date, Flushed Away, Sherlock Holmes, Cats and Dogs 2, Super 8, one of the Transformers sequels (not sure which), Alfie, The Wild Bunch, Shirley Valentine, Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, Point Break, Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves, Beethoven, Clash of the Titans (both old and new),
Pretty in Pink/Some Kind of Wonderful/Ferris Bueller's Day Off, True Grit/Once Upon a Time in the West/Shane, Alfie/Italian Job/Zulu, Where Eagles Dare/Kelly's Heroes/Dirty Dozen, Naked Gun trilogy, Naked Gun/Airplane/Top Secret, National Lampoon's Vacation/European Vacation/Vegas Vacation, Yes Man/Dumb and Dumber/Ace Ventura, Footloose/Grease/Flashdance

But as I said that was a couple of months ago so no idea if it's still going.

Assignment, The (which year is this?)
Behind the Candelabra (I really must get round to seeing this)
Jack Reacher (I'm going to get around to this, so I've left it on.)
Sucker Punch (Again, this is something I might end up seeing)

Middleman, The complete series (I've heard some good things about this)
The Assignment is the 1997 release with Aidan Quinn and Donald Sutherland. I know Mark is a big fan and it was him mentioning it a few times that made me aware of it. What is it about Behind the Candelabra that has you interested? I'm always curious/surprised when you're interested in a 'new' film. Rush I found out was because you're a fan of the sport

I'd certainly recommend giving Jack Reacher a watch someday. I wasn't actually that interested in seeing it, just ordered to make up the numbers in an offer. But I was really pleasantly surprised. From the trailer and Cruise's involvement I was expecting quite a standard action flick but found it to be quite a gritty, hard boiled film. It also felt quite old-fashioned, not relying on big CGI-aided set-pieces like so many action flicks these days. Would probably give it around a 4- but a large degree of that may be down to the surprise factor, and on repeat viewing it may drop. And Sucker Punch is one of those I probably wouldn't have bought normally but was swayed by the price. I think it's one of those that I could either love for its ridiculousness or absolutely hate.

And Middleman I watched back when it was on and just found it to be an absolute delight. It's really weird and feels like the spiritual descendant of the campy 60s Batman show but great fun from what I remember

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
I like these:

Air Force One
Basic Instinct
Bodyguard, The
Contact
Django Unchained
Fallen
Hard Rain (only watched the first twenty minutes, but it looks like the kind of '90's action I love)
Identity
Jack Reacher
Life of Pi
Punisher (1989) (I've only watced half of it, but it's kind of fun '80's trash)
Ricochet (I just bought this, it looks interesting)
Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows
Star Wars I - The Phantom Menace
Star Wars II - Attack of the Clones
Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith

There's also a couple in there I am interested in seeing.

They also had Argo, Shutter Island, Drive, Cats and Dogs 2, Singin' in the Rain, Point Break, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Zulu, Airplane
I've not seen Argo or Cats & Dogs 2, but I'd like to. Drive I'm interested in, but feel that I'll be uninterested/disappointed when I do see it.

What is it about Behind the Candelabra that has you interested? I'm always curious/surprised when you're interested in a 'new' film.
It just appealed. I suppose the combination of the story, the exclusively positive reviews I've seen/heard, especially the acting and, lastly, that everyone who likes it, which is everyone, says it's fun and entertaining. Without that last point, I think I'd be really interested, but wouldn't really be looking forward to it.

And Sucker Punch is one of those I probably wouldn't have bought normally but was swayed by the price. I think it's one of those that I could either love for its ridiculousness or absolutely hate.
That it was hated by the people you'd expect to like it can be a good sign for me. Also I have to say that the reactions to its ridiculousness also intrigue me. Sometimes that level of absurdity appeal to me greatly. Lastly, I think the g/f wanted to see it way back when, so it might appear one day.

I have no idea why I didn't pick up Cats & Dogs 2, must just have been an oversight. Not seen it but loved the first one. Surprised to see you interested though.

Instead of waiting months and doing big massive updates here's a shorter one.

Emperor's New Groove
Final Destination 1 - 3 set

Breaking Bad season 1
Psych season 7
White Collar season 4

21 Jump Street wasn't one that got my attention all that much but heard a lot of good stuff about it, including from people who like me haven't been impressed by a whole lot of recent comedies. Saw it for a couple of pound and decided to try it. The two Batman films because of late I watched all the Batman animated films but hadn't seen them yet. Cats & Dogs 2 because I got put in the mood after the discussion. The Final Destination and Scream films because around Halloween I watched the first films of both and enjoyed them (especially Final Destination_

Psych and White Collar are two of my absolute favourite shows right now but here in the UK we're way behind so the last 2/3 years I've just been getting them on DVD. And Breaking Bad I've never seen but have been meaning to considering all the praise it gets.

21 Jump Street
Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty
Final Destination 1 - 3 set
Poltergeist
Scream 2

Breaking Bad season 1
White Collar season 4
I'll give + rep for these. I have a feeling that White Collar has stopped being shown over here now. So, unless another channel picks it up, there won't be anymore here. I might have to do the same as you.

I've also heard good things about 21 Jump Street, so I wouldn't mind checking it out. I like the Final Destination series, but it's really on the first that's actually good. I know others disagree and say the second is better, but they're wrong. I didn't include Scream 3 because I've only seen it once or twice and I didn't really care much for it. I can barely remember it.

I liked the first season of Breaking Bad, but then it was moved and I didn't know until 8 episodes into season 2 so I left it. I might go back and catch it one day but, while I liked the first, I never really looked forward to each episode.

Miss Vicky's Loyal and Willing Slave
Had completely forgotten to keep this updated. In fact it's been nearly 14 months since I last updated it. In which time I've amassed this vast amount of additions.

As it's been so long this includes DVDs I received at two Christmas and a birthday as well as DVDs I've just treated myself to at various points. The large majority of which were blind buys and mostly 2nd hand from the likes of CEX or amazon marketplace

An interesting way of listing all your movies. There are so many ways to categorise. That is way I never start. Can t decide which one to use. I would want to do several categories for one movie.
