F9: The Fast Saga (2020)

Welcome to the human race...
^Sounds like someone doesn't believe in family.

Anyway, this one already looks like a step up because a) no Hobbs or Shaw and b) #JusticeForHan.

They had to bring back Han. Good luck drawing in as much without The Rock and Statham. Rocks not been in a Fast movie since Fast 4

Welcome to the human race...
It will be interesting to see. Looking at the worldwide grosses, it looks like there was a fairly significant drop-off for Hobbs and Shaw compared to both Furious 7 and Fate of the Furious (the former didn't clear a billion, for starters) so it's not like The Rock and/or Statham alone are enough to carry one of these movies over the line.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but Hobbs and Shaw didn't have the cars and it just wasn't good. Definition of "if you see the trailer, you've seen this movie".

My guess is that FnF gets away with so much because of car porn. It can be lame or cheesy or have Tyrese, but people just wanna see cars doing work  I mean, I'm a guy that will stop and take a picture of a 30 y.o. imported Skyline in a Food Lion parking lot.

I've had the same thought every time I see one of these, "I'm not going to the theater to see the next one." Then the sickness takes hold again.

Han in the Supra made me happy, especially in light of all the money Dodge throws at these movies. And a rocket-powered Fiero

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Oh no, not the S word.

Well, this is the second to last film of the series. Vin Diesel confirmed that #10 will be the last one...Why do I see The Furious Final as the title for that one? Anyway, Cena as Dom's brother, the return of Cipher, and Han returning? yeah, I'm seeing this one.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Except for the first one which was a Point Break copy paste job but still good, they've all been absolute dog ****. There was a bit of Paul Walker nostalgia allowing his last one to do better than it should've, which led to the Directior being given Star Trek (an abomination).

Welcome to the human race...
The last one to feature Paul Walker was Furious 7, which was actually directed by James Wan (who went on to direct an obscure little movie called Aquaman). In any case, Justin Lin's stab at a Star Trek movie was a major improvement on J.J. Abrams going full Abrams with Star Trek Into Darkness (I can take or leave the 2009 movie).

Besides, the fifth F&F is the best.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
I like Star Trek 2009 but the 2nd and 3rd one are both awful, hard to know which one is worse.

Fast and Furious 2-whatever we're on now just merge into one big mess for me so it's hard to remember who directed what. I've not seen at least 3 of them.

I get a headache just thinking about the amount of times this franchise has changed its title structure.

The Fast and the Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious
Fast Five
Fast & Furious 6
Furious 7
The Fate of the Furious
F9

An OCDer's worst nightmare, this.
