The Howling Reboot

"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
Andy Muschietti announced at a recent Q&A forum that he will direct a reboot of the werewolf classic The Howling for Netflix after he completes work later this year on The Flash movie. I think knowing his style, he may actually bring a more faithful adaptation of the Gary Brandner novel that inspired the 1981 classic.

Leave this classic alone, jesus......

How's the book compared to the original film?

I've never been a huge fan of The Howling. The werewolf looks really good and the transformation is great as well but the film itself feels kind of lacking. The best werewolf film to me is Ginger Snaps followed somewhat closely by Dog Soldiers.

The plot felt a little empty. I never saw The Wicker Man, but it makes me think of how little the "community" was really explored in comparison to other horror classics like The Wicker Man.

Actually, The Howling could work in a folk horror sense.

Skip remaking the first one and go straight to remaking the second. That could be fun to see rebooted.

I like the Howling films (and Werewolf films in general), so I'm interested in seeing this remake.
Has there been anymore info on it yet?
