I've seen Sean Connery in Dr No and Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. I'd like to get a flavour for the other Bonds as well. Which films would you recommend?
Best Film of each Bond
Timothy Dalton wasn't a bad Bond, but his movies were horrible. But in case you want to watch his film, watch the first one Living Daylights.
I personally love George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, do watch it.
Have you seen the other Connery ones? if not make it a point to see From Russia With Love & Goldfinger.
Regarding Roger Moore, I would recommend - Spy who loved me, Man with the golden gun & Moonraker.
For starters make sure you don't skip these:
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
On Her Majesty's Secret Service

I personally love George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, do watch it.
Timothy Dalton was pretty great for a two-film Bond, and it doesn't matter which film is better, I just prefer The Living Daylights for being tense, realistic, in other words the basis for The Bourne Identity.
It's hard to recommend Roger Moore, but let's go with Octopussy because he dresses like a clown to match his personality.
Brosnan = Goldeneye. A 90s kid who doesn't say this did not have an N64 or hates being right.
Regarding Sean Connery, the obvious favorite is League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but if that doesn't count, then From Russia With Love. I do enjoy You Only Live Twice but he's getting some major beer gut.

I don't get all the hate towards The Living Daylights, had the best Bond in it and it's got a fantastic opening sequence too. Wonderful score music also.

I despise this movie, not only because of George HI MY NAME IS JAMES BAHND Lazenby, but the script is utter crap,
It's the only Bond movie that doesn't take itself seriously.
Regarding Brosnan, don't like him as Bond. But Goldeneye is his best film & Goldeneye is by far the most action packed Bond film till to date.
I liked the way Die Another Day opens, but rest of the film is utter trash.
& Like I said earlier Dalton was indeed amazing, he deserved a movie like Casino Royale.

Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me
Dalton: The Living Daylights
Brosnan: Goldeneye
Craig: Casino Royale
Lazenby doesn't count since it would only be a default choice

Connery: From Russia With Love. With quite a bit of margin, the greatest Bond film ever.
Moore: In spite of being a terrible Bond, he starred in one of the best films: The Spy Who Loved Me. Everything else is pretty much terrible, except Live and Let Die.
Dalton: Both his films are quite good and he was an excellent Bond. I peg The Living Daylights as his best.
Brosnan: Goldeneye. The rest is horrible.
Craig: Casino Royale, obvious.

Brosnan - Goldeneye, by such a big margin
Craig - Casino Royale
I'd say that Goldfinger, LALD and Casino Royale are my top three favourite Bond films.
Goldfinger is just everything you'd want from a Bond, Connery is a more fragile, serious bond and then you have great villains like Goldfinger and Oddjob - one of my favourite villains.
Live and Let Die is possible the most fun Bond, I actually like Moore who is often criticised for being more 'camp' and less serious, a crazy mix of characters and villains such as Tee Hee and Baron Samedi, the song and final scenes are definitely my favourites from the Bond series.
Casino Royale, proper modern thriller, Craig is excellent as we get to see the beginning of Bond again, a bit long at times but by far the strongest of any newer releases.

Also the longest serving Bond so he can't have been all bad.
Connery- I love From Russia with Love and Dr. No is a pretty solid film in its own right, but neither hold a candle to Goldfinger in my opinion.
Lazenby- On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I know it's his only film, but this probably cracks my top 5 of all of them. Loved it.
Moore- The Spy Who Loved Me. I'm in the same boat as some of you as well I like Moore, none of the films are really that great. Spy Who Loved Me is a pretty good one though.
Dalton- License to Kill. Once again a pretty average flick but watchable.
Brosnan- Just plainly don't like any Brosnan film in general, but if I had to pick, sure Goldeneye.
Craig- Casino Royale. While I think Skyfall will be really really good, it will be hard to beat this.

Bit unfair on Moore there. He was certainly a different Bond from Connery, more tongue in cheek, all the best one liners. His films were not all terrible, For Your Eyes Only yes but I don't think any of the others were legitimately bad, some were average yes, Octopussy, View to a Kill (he was a little old), Man with Golden Gun, but personally I love Live and Let Die, Spy Who Lover Me and Moonraker(yes I know there is a lot of mofo hate for Moonraker).
Also the longest serving Bond so he can't have been all bad.

Lazenby - I've seen his movie but I can't recall it,is it the one with some kind of facility where only girls are kept?If that's the one, then I didn't enjoy it.
Moore - personally,I loved him as Bond,he and the actress who played Moneypenny were a great couple. However, the movies were very mediocre. The more memorables were Live And Let Die and A View To A Kill
Dalton - I disliked him as Bond but I think his movies had best plots.I loved The Living Daylights and License To Kill is good, too.
Brosnan - Tomorrow Never Dies
Craig - I haven't seen Skyfall,so I would vote for Casino Royale, although I didn't like it as much as other people do.
