Secret In Their Eyes

American remake of the 2009 Argentinian move The Secret in Their Eyes.

Directed by Billy Ray who did Hunger Games and Captain Phillips.

Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts.

I'm kind of not sure how to feel about this. I'm dubious about pointless remakes. But it does look good, and it looks as though they changed some things from the original. Plus, Chiwetel Ejiofor is an actor I would watch in pretty much anything. Even if the other two aren't.

I also read that it's going to be rated PG-13 which is weird. The original was an 18 in the UK (R in the US) and had some fairly graphic scenes, and it's a fairly adult themed story about murder and revenge.

What an odd pick for a remake. The best scene from the original was at the soccer stadium and there's no way they can top that.

Looks like there's a similar kind of scene in the trailer.

I just can't quite picture Nicole Kidman as Irene, but I'll reserve judgment until I've seen it.
