What directors appear the most in your top 100?

Tools

The directors that appear the most in my top 100 are:

Alfred Hitchcock- 6 films (Psycho, Rear Window, Rope, Strangers on a Train, North by Northwest, Dial M for Murder)

Martin Scorsese- 6 films (The Departed, Taxi Driver, Gangs of New York, Raging Bull, Silence, The Irishman)

Ingmar Bergman- 3 films (Persona, The Seventh Seal, Cries and Whispers)

Steven Spielberg- 3 films (Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial)

Wes Anderson- 3 films (Rushmore, Isle of Dogs, The Darjeeling Limited)

Francis Ford Coppola- 3 films (Apocalypse Now, The Godfather, The Godfather Part III)

I don't have a top 100, but if I did then I'm sure there would be over half a dozen, if not more films from each of these directors: Ford, Godard, Straub-Huillet, Chaplin, Ruiz, Eastwood, de Oliveira, Tourneur, Rivette, Wang, Akerman, Minnelli, Ozu, and possibly De Palma

Cassavetes would have at least 4 (5 if Minnie and Moskowitz squeaked in). I'm not sure if anyone would have more than that. Possibly Fassbinder, who has 3 in my top 10, but might not have anymore after that.

I don't have a concrete Top 100, but probably Kubrick?

Hmmmm

Shoo-ins:

The Shining
2001

Probablies:

Clockwork Orange
Paths of Glory

Mights:

Lolita
Barry Lyndon

I guess he would potentially be in the running.

For me, shoo-ins would be 2001, Full Metal Jacket, and Eyes Wide Shut. I agree with your probablies.

The trick is not minding
Sure things:
2001
Dr Strangelove
A Clockwork Orange
Paths of Glory

Probable:
Barry Lyndon
Full Metal Jacket

I am in the minority that The Shining is only ok, although I have been meaningful to rewatch it for well over a decade since I first watched it (2006/2007?).
Didn’t care for Eyes Wide Shut but that’s also due for rewatch and that’s been even longer. (1999 or 2000).

So those two, along with Spartacus, need to be rewatched to be 100% sure of their placing in the Kubrick hierarchy.

Still haven’t seen Lolita (once rented it way back in the day but the dvd was in bad shape and skipped) The Killing and The Killer’s Kiss.

Coppola has 3 (godfather 1, 2 and apocalypse now)

Micheal Mann has 2 (collateral and heat)

fincher has two (zodiac and se7en)

Scorsese has atleast five (departed, wolf, casino, taxi driver and shutter island)

Nolan has atleast 4 films in my top 30 (Batman trilogy and Inception)

Russo brothers have two (civil war, winter soldier)

not sure about the rest.

Make a better place
I don't have a list
If I had one I'm sure David Fincher and Clint Eastwood would have a handful of movies in it

Coppola and Spielberg share 3 each. I'm not gonna bother goinf through the twos, but nobody has dour or more in my top 100. With that said, Coppola USED to have four, including The Conversation, but that was months ago.
