The Girl Next Door was a very dark-film depicting rape, I remember whenever I was younger and finding a not-so legal copy of it with the title written in magic-marker. I thought it was that one comedy about the porn-star or something, and it turned out to be something different entirely. I think the surprise really enhanced the movie, but other-wise, it was a so-so movie. They did another one with James Franco and Ellen Page called An American Crime, or whatever, which wasn't good at all, but just throwing that out-there.
No love here for EXTREMETIES, probably the best look at attempted rape that I have ever seen. Don't forget STRAW DOGS and the 1973 TV movie A CASE OF RAPE. And I'm not sure if this counts, but in AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, Al Pacino's character, Arthur Kirkland has to defend a judge, played by John Forsythe, who has been accused of rape.
The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo and the rest of the series. Norwegian films are great but I hope Fncher gets round to making the other two, love a bit of Fincher
