I watched Whisper of the Heart (2005) last night.

The Color of Paradise (1999) - Majid Majidi

The second Majidi movie I've watched (Children of Heaven the other) and I've been impressed. There is a real simplicity about his (and most Iranian) films which I find enjoyable. This is about a blind boy and his father who is struggling with the burden of looking after a blind child. As the poster says, it's "stunningly beautiful" in parts.

In the last 24 hours I watched 4 films that I had never seen before and the 4 of them happened to be great which is rare.

Detective Story with Kirk Douglas.
Kirk chews up scenery in an overwrought performance.
Essentially a filmed play which did not take advantage of the film medium.
Corny performances all around but I liked it anyway!

SERIOUS reps for Pussy Galore's films AND that you enjoyed them. loved The Great Escape since i was a kid

Scream 4

I enjoyed it, as I enjoyed the Scream Trilogy.
