Yep, I saw it and really enjoyed it, too. I can't believe that anyone who'd seen it, except those determined to be offended, could've been so by this. Sweet, touching, funny and enjoyable.

I thought this was a new series. If it is only a pilot, like Nausicaa, I really hope that a series comes from it.

Just finished watching the second episode of The B' in Apartment 23 on X-Box Live. (which doesn't even air until next week). I'm liking this show a lot, and James Van Der Beek is really funny playing a cocky version of himself.

It's all in the reflexes.
Borrowed the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand off a mate,....wtf..... it's like a softcore porno, once you get past that it's ok for a bit of decapitation I guess.

Finished all of The Walking Dead season 1 & 2, cannot wait for season 3, huge zombie/apocalypse fan. Got a tiny bit slow in the middle of season 2, but all in all it wrapped up nicely.

Watched most of Supernatural Season 7, been a big fan for a while but i've finally opened my eyes and have to say it's getting a bit boring they should have stuck with 5 seasons, they are just rehashing old ideas.

Love that song but can't see the vid from the UK
I don't get that, isn't a video just a video?

Just to remind the UK viewers that The Bridge starts this weekend. While I'm looking forward to it, I must say that I'll miss my weekly dose of Sciscillian sun.

Noticed that myself. Haven't seen any of the foreign shows so far (The Killing, Borgen, Spiral etc) but think I'll finally give this one a shot. Anyone know how good/poor it's meant to be?

Out of interest HK how are you doing with Grimm and Ringer? Have you stuck with them?

^ Just watched the second episode of this and I should enjoy the second series more now because they just

killed off the character of Cat who I absolutely couldn't stand and found so annoying, yay.

Everything is so great right now I've been watching a lot more TV than movies. Community continues to churn out fantastically funny and imaginative episodes, House has bounced back from a dire season 7 and looks to be gearing up for a great finale, Game of Thrones is as atmospheric and absorbing as ever, and (best of the lot) Mad Men came just about as close to perfect TV I've ever seen with its last two episodes. Season 5 could be the best yet.

Recently caught a teaser for "The News Reader"

&feature=youtube

I already know I"m going to own the entire series ... as par for Sorkin, that will probably only mean one or two seasons.

I'm not one for watching two episodes in a row on one night(one thing I don't like about BBC4 and these series they show - it put me off with Borgen too so going to watch it on blu-ray one day), so I'm waiting for the blu-ray release in a few days time and watching it in my own time.

Spiral/Engrenages series 4 should be starting on BBC4 soon, can't wait! love this French series. I hope, haven't heard anything about them airing series 4.

I'm watching The Bridge, but I'm afraid I've been quite disappointed. I've just not been able to get into it and I've certainly not been gripped by it. The red herrings have reminded me of Medium. Each one obviously not the killer and I've had to sit there while they plod through the motions until they finally find out for themselves. The two main characters, though well acted, are simply a collection of national characteristics all thrown into each character. I felt all the side stories, which you know will all tie in together at some point, were handled poorly and were, mostly, uninteresting to me. It's really not been a patch on The Killing. I don't feel it really should be compared to programmes like Wallander or Borgen, as they're completely different animals.

For the record, I'd recommend Borgen, Nausicaa. Again, not to be compared to The Killing, but a good example of a political drama.

So I've been watching Missing - the one with Ashley Judd and Sean Bean?

I.......like watching the show, because I like Judd, but Im not sure it was the best idea for her. I say that because contrary to what she, and the show's creators may believe, the show makes her look old - specifically because of the insane feats she (via her undoubtedly younger stunt woman) pulls off. Plus, it looks like she had a face lift. And Sean Bean looks like he needs a face lift, which is not how Im accustomed to seeing him look.

Here's the major sticking point for me (and maybe one of you can disabuse me of this notion). There is NO WAY IN THE WORLD a 50+ woman can outrun an athletic, sports minded 18 year boy/man-child, and i dont care how athletic she is - some things just cannot be done because time cares for no man or woman. In that episode when he's so happy because he "finally" beat her running, i almost fell out of my chair. Are you serious? Guys can typically beat their dad in athletic endeavors around 15-18 years, and it has nothing to do with knowledge, and everything to do with age. So we're supposed to believe this fella couldnt even beat his MOM?

It kind of set the tone for the entire series. And that tone was - kooked out pipe dream fantasy show for older women.

Well. They have them for men, so let's do this!
