HEROES, but i really want LOST and TRUE BLOOD....

Can't you just buy the first and last seasons of Lost? Is there any point to the rest?

We just recently discovered Mad Men and we're not finished with s. 2 yet, but when we are we'll get s. 3 and 4 aswell.

I just sworn off buying more seasons on DVD. Streaming had gotten to the point where, even if the series I want to watch isn't up yet, it soon will be, and I will just watch something else in the meantime, as there is a ton of stuff out there I still want to check out.

That said, if I saw a favorite show at a bargain price, I still might pick up the set...

I'm weak like that.

Pretty much this. The series i'd like to have on DVD is the Closer. We get a few episodes up here in syndication, but there always seems to be a carry over element from a previous episode. I've seen season 1 for sale, but i'm not shellen out 40 bucks.

If you like The Closer, take a look at its forebear, Prime Suspect. I believe the first season of the US remake is airing this autumn, so you might be able to find the originals a bit easier.

I have a few animé series, but other than that- The Mighty Boosh and Family Guy. I really need more comedies though, like Peep Show, IT Crowd, Jersey Shore... I guess the last one's not a comedy but it does make me laugh.
