What Is The Last DVD You WATCHED?

My sister had it. Thought it was pretty good. Well directed with an overall strong feeling of dread. Pact more emotional punch than I thought it would too. Worth a look.

Would also like to apologise for not posting recently for those who care. My connection got sorted out but computer broke. And was super busy up until today - i'm unemployed now and I kinda like it

Last 3 Watched:

The Grapes of Wrath- 8.5/10 Superb!

Goldfinger- 8.5/10- It really is a tossup whether I like Casino Royale or Goldfinger better.

From Here to Eternity- 7/10- The story packed a punch, but there were a few moments that were a little dull. Overall a fairly nice movie.

you again---so so funny
the other guys--could not stop laughing

If you haven't seen this but are a fan of original and you're not a fan of Nicholas Love, then don't be put off by this awful poster for the film. This is a surprisingly good remake. It's essentially the same story as the original except it's the impression young teenager who's perspective we view the action from this time, which was probably the smartest thing to do. It's a bit of a coming of age tale where the innocence gets lost along the way somewhat amongst the football violence. I don't know how Danny Dyer didn't play Bex but I for one am thanking the lord. Love might have wised up as he shows considering restraint and maturity here that I really didn't expect of him. This is ALMOST as good as Clarke's original and probably does some things a bit better. Easily Love's best film since Goodbye Charlie Bright. His other films are pretty rubbish though.

No Country for Old Men- 8/10 Almost like watching a thriller. It keeps you on edge for the duration of the movie to see what will happen next.

I am number four... it's a terrible movie.

the actor was bad, the story was a cliche, the love story was so predictable, the characters didn't grow...

two hours i can't take back. i actually stopped watching at some point but it was against my principle so i continued

Death Warrior.

Oh man was this bad. Its weird, its no less cheesy than any Jean Claude Van Damme flick, and the cast is loaded with real life kick-azz mma pro's, so i should like it.

but at the end of the day im not 14. JCVD flicks get a pass from me i guess coz i retain the memory of being wowed the first time round or something. i don't know, except the 14 year old me woulda loved this.

It's all in the reflexes.

Seen it so many times now, and it still doesn't lose its charm. Great quotes from Kurt Russell as Jack Burton "Like I told my last wife, I says, Honey, I never drive faster than I can see. Besides that, it's all in the reflexes". James Hong as David Lo Pan is great also, he use to scare me when i was younger in that get up he wore.

The Wire

Finally finished this sumbitch for the 2nd time. Again I am in awe in the scenes that doesn't involve McNutty and the stupid red ribbon fiasco. But it's The Wire so it still owns.

I was able to infer that you watched The Wire, but your picture doesn't work for me. That's why people should always include the title of the movies they've watched in these posts. Plus it makes your posts easier to find.

Avatar! love that movie!

Blood Diamond

Primeval Series 4 Disc 1.
Bit of a letdown really. Lacks the chemistry with the team and although the effects are great, not very exciting. Hope it gets better.
