What's currently the most prized item in your DVD collection and why?

Every breath you take, watching you
Mine would be Two Lane Blacktop. I hadn't seen it, knew that I would & the only version I could find was in a collector's tin with a little keychain car too. Like the movie muchly, so money well spent. Most expensive DVD I have bought too.

I <3 Freddy Krueger
Mine is Freddy Vs Jason.
Why? Because I love this movie and I couldent live without it!!

At the moment my most prized DVD is disc 3 of the boxed set of Season 2: House M.D. , but I also have to say Jackie Chan: Rumble In The Bronx will always be close to my heart Still love that crazy Mofo!

A few Christmases ago, my BIL bought me something off of my list! Jesus Christ Superstar 2000! It is my fav movie of all time because it is art that makes chills run up my back from start to finish.

In any area of production the art is evident. The lighting, costumes, acting, filming techniques and singing are all fantastic. This is one of the few movies I would watch over and over.

'Dawn of the Dead' (original) Dutch import, includes Romero's version (completely uncut) & Dario Argento's, plus 'Document of the Dead'.

'Yojimbo' & 'Sanjuro' - US import, loads of extras, and the box art is really nice.

'Lone Wolf & Cub' box set, containing all six films.

'From Beyond' - US import, completely uncut.

'Three Colours Blue/White/Red' trilogy - because there are all masterpieces.

'Cinema Paradiso' - same reason as above.

all my box sets including: -

Trilogies

'Star Wars'
'Die Hard' (who needs number 4)
'El Mariachi'
'Blade'
'Evil Dead'
'Back to the Future'
'Indiana Jones'
'Final Destination' (and yes I think they're all great)
Leone's 'Dollars' films

TV

complete 'Red Dwarf'
'Spaced' 1&2
'Peep Show' 1-5

and loads more.

Of course, my most prized possession just has to be:

Nothing in my collection comes close to this gem. As to why, and I don't think I need to explain to you folks, is that this is one of my favorite films of all time, which I have seen well over 100 times and counting.

I keep it on my coffee table.

Coming in at a VERY close 2nd, would be my collection of BSG seasons and extras. I hold this show in almost as high regard as I do Blade Runner; I have watched the entire series 4 times and counting.

Welcome to the human race...
^ I still need to get one of those. Damn.

Anyway, if I have to prize any item, it's going to be one of my imported DVDs (or rather, DVDs I picked up outside of Australia). Out of all the import DVDs I own, the one I prize the most is going to be Slacker. It's the first Criterion Collection DVD I ever bought and is currently one of the two that I own (the other being Dazed and Confused). It even marks a personal accomplishment - the first DVD I ever bought during my trip to America last December (as I recall, within the first 24 hours there too). Also, since Slacker has never been released in Australia, this makes me one of the few people (if not the only one) to own and have seen Slacker in this country.

Not to mention the fact that it's a pretty decent movie, too.

I'd say my whole collection. There's nothing special in it, but they're mine. I'm going to exclude The Ice Harvest though.

I agree my whole collection means so much to me but I think my prized possesion must be my Rambo Collection DVD boxset. Possibly all my Scrubs series DVDs or my American Dad - Family Guy series DVDs.

Never Rub Another Mans Rhubarb.
My Alien Vs Predator box set. All the movies bar Requiem but that wasn't good anyways.

I have to say that my Blackadder Adder collection boxset is one of my favs, But my little sister in law managed to ruin 3 out of the 4 disks so I need to replase it. Which is always nice to do when you paid £60 for it in the first place.

Not my fav. movie of all time, but one of them. Amazing film, and for some reason it just feels really, really good to have it on DVD. I didn't really see it in stores that often either until after I Am Legend came out.
