Medium: The Complete Second Season on DVD October 3rd

Paramount Home Entertainment will be releasing the second season of the chilling NBC television series Medium, which stars Patricia Arquette, Jake Weber and Miguel Sandoval onto DVD. Full specs and details are listed below. The set will be available to own when it hits store shelves October 3, 2006.

From Emmy Award-winning executive producer, creator and director Glenn Gordon Caron ("Moonlighting") comes "Medium," a chilling drama series inspired by the real-life story of research medium Allison DuBois. Emmy winner Patricia Arquette ("Stigmata," "Flirting with Disaster") stars as a young wife and mother who, since childhood, has been struggling to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people. Arquette received the Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category after the telecast of the initial 16 episodes of the critically acclaimed series. Allison DuBois (Arquette) is a strong-willed young mother of three, a devoted wife and law student who begins to suspect that she can talk to dead people, see the future in her dreams and read people's thoughts. Fearing for her mental health, she turns for support to her husband Joe (Jake Weber, "U-571"), an aerospace engineer, who slowly comes to believe that what his wife is telling him just might be true. The real challenge is convincing her boss, D.A. Devalos (Miguel Sandoval) -- and the other doubters in the criminal justice system -- that her psychic abilities can give them the upper hand when it comes to solving violent and horrifying crimes whose mysteries often reside with those who live beyond the grave.
Sofia Vassilieva and Maria Lark also star as Ariel and Bridgette, the two eldest DuBois children. This season, David Cubitt ("10.5") becomes a series regular in the role of Detective Lee Scanlon.

In a new interview over at The Hollywood Reporter, Superman Returns director Brian Singer talks in-depth about how he came to be involved in bringing the Man of Steel back to the big screen, and reveals a little bit about what you might expect to find on the November DVD & HD-DVD release of the film. According to Singer, all of the online "weblogs" that have been posted on BlueTights.net will be included. Though he's yet to decide for sure, Singer may also include a major deleted sequence from the film. He's also preparing something called the In-Movie Experience (this would be for the HD-DVD version - watch for a similar feature on the yet-to-be-announced Batman Begins HD-DVD) where you can watch behind-the-scenes video on the making of the film in a windowbox while you're watching the film itself.

Good. For once I stayed away from buying while hoping for something better and there it is. I got shanked with the Jaws 25th anniversary as a year later, the 30th year anniversary came out.
So I'm finally gonna win. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay me.

Yeah yeah, I know they will likely come out with another edition in the future but just let me be happy for a bit huh.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a Star Wars Box set with all 6 in it?

Next year is the 30th anniversary of the original Star Wars. I can only assume there will be something other than 3D versions of the films coming out to commemorate it...
