There are some good movies on that list and some not so great ones. The best on there are Fight Club and Memento, worst is Shawshank. I haven't seen Schindler's List (and don't intend to) or Cidade de Deus (Intend to). A few respectable ones I'm just luke warm on (Goodfellas mainly) and a lot of decent films that wouldn't be anywhere close to my top 15.

1 Limbo
2 Vanya on 42nd Street
3 No Such Thing
4 Prospero's Books
5 The Blade
6 Fallen Angels
7 The Eel
8 Short Cuts
9 The Ninth Gate
10 Sweet and Lowdown
11 Monsters, Inc.
12 Blair Witch Project
13 Glengarry Glen Ross
14 Minbo
15 Faust

best: not sure. a few of em could be argued as #1, but Schindlers list, Fight Club, Goodfellas, Fargo, Shawshank Redemption... all great movies.

worst: Matrix - I really think its a much better story and plot than actual movie. the story is amazing. its very capturing and thought provoking... But having said that, the movie IMO is a bit crappy. cheesy one-liner kind of stuff covered with cutting edge special effects. more emphasis on visual appeal, less on acting and dialogue. Keanu Reeves isnt any where near Oscar worthy either... I think a movie with so much depth in the story line could be so much better, so much more mysterious, so much darker, so much richer, eh just better altogether... they should have shied away from the whole popcorn action flick approach IMO... also, even if it were considered greatness I think its way too high on that list.

Not trying to ruffle any feathers guys, like I said, I think its an amazing story... just giving my .02

top 15: dont have one

All i know is that Lines's list is superb . They only thing that would've made it more bizarre would've been the omission of Monsters Inc .

---
EDIT:
---

These lists are too limiting anyway. How about...

A list of the best 15 films, of the last 15 years, to be enjoyed while in one of 15 distinct emotional states?

The states could be...

1) Supine
2) Churlish
3) Floppy
4) Alert
5) Peaked
6) Irritated
7) Fretful
8) Ropey
9) Balanced
10) Zinging
11) Choppy
12) Resentful
13) Enraptured
14) Picky
15) Asleep

All we'd have to do is pick 15 films for each state.

C'mon. It'd be a challenge

Worst: The Sixth Sense
Best: Goodfellas

I find it extremely difficult to choose 15 since there were very many movies I enjoyed but here goes:

1. Goodfellas
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Hoop Dreams
4. Amores Perros
5. Almost Famous
6. Princess Mononoke
7. Hero
8. Magnolia
9. Silence of the Lambs
10. Memento
11. Terminator 2: Judgment Day

15. Dark City

Honorable mention: Lord of the Rings

I am having a nervous breakdance
Well, to me Fight Club is one of the absolutly most overrated movies during the past 15 years but at the same time I can understand that it's number one.

Their best choice? I don't know, there's certainly no surprises on the list but it's an even beard between Mulholland Dr., Cidade de Deus and Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi.

My list would be something like:

Se7en
The Thin Red Line
Pusher
Festen
Mulholland Dr.
Cidade de Deus
Heat
Kids
The Big Lebowski
Vozvrashcheniye
****ing Åmål
The Apostle
Hoop Dreams
Mies vailla menneisyyttä
JFK

It's impossible to make a list with just 15 so I excluded some more obvious ones like Goodfellas and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

their best pick was pulp fiction ( even though i'd rather be skinned alive than watch it for the 25th time ), worst pick, fight club
here's my list in no particular order:
1.princess mononoke
2.pulp fiction
3.kill bill
4.LOTR
5.gegen die wand

9.memento
10.donnie darko
11.the matrix
12.la vita e bella
13.american beauty
14.amelie
15.the return
oh who am i kidding, there's no way i could pick only 15 films in the last 15 years, there's at least 40 films of equal quality to those i mentioned: the others, the sea within, forrest gump, hero, musa the warrior, being john malkovich, eternal sunshine...,crouching tiger hidden dragon, die untergang, trainspotting, amorres perros, y tu mama tambien, ciudade de deus...bla bla bla...the list goes on and on...

A system of cells interlinked
Worst - Memento
Best - Mulholland Drive/Goodfellas

Memento is a nice gimmick, but relys a bit to much on it's structure, as the actual story is a tad weak. I like the film, and own it, but wouldn't put it in the top 15.

My list, which is just thrown together, because I also feel it's too tough to complile just 15 films over an entire 15 year period...

Mulholland Drive
Amelie
Unforgiven
Goodfellas
Leon
American Beauty
Eyes Wide Shut
Pulp Fiction
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Miller's Crossing
12 Monkeys
Se7en
Magnolia
Barton Fink
Last of the Mohicans

And like Adidasss said, the list goes on.....

Based on what I have seen - and I haven't seen half of these movies, mind you -- their worst choice was The Matrix. Their best was Pulp Fiction.

Sexy's Top 15 from 1990-2005 (but in no particular order):
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Scream
American Beauty
Adaptation
Dummy
I Heart Huckabees
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
Wonder Boys
Mrs. Doubtfire
The Matrix Reloaded
Basic Instinct
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
Girls Will Be Girls

By my count 1990 would be a 16th year, otherwise Miller's Crossing would have bumped something off my list and would be somewhere near the top.

Then you're counting incorrectly. 1990 is year zero, the creation of the website, making 1991 their first anniversary. This is their fifteenth anniversary.
