I dunno, just do it in the order I wrote 'em, I don't care. Actually I don't think this is ever going to be tallied up at this point anyway. This is an old thread.

Edit: On Second thought, There has been a bit of action in this thread lately and Sinny seems to be trying to get it going again, and my list was problematic and I didn't like it I deleted it. Problem solved.

Top 10 of all time? Naming that list is harder than it sounds. So instead of really thinking about it, I'll just name 10 off the top of my head:

1. Dr. Strangelove
2. Breaking Away
3. Raging Bull
4. On the Waterfront
5. Sideways
6. 2001
7. The Graduate
8. Manchurian Candidate
9. Vertigo
10. Goodfellas

How much longer before we see the list?

So where's the list? I think we have enough to determine a top 50 list.

So far this is just another "top ten" thread.

1. Lawrence of Arabia
2. Woman in the Dunes
3. Limbo
4. My Dinner With Andre
5. Duck Soup
6. Akira
7. Singin' in the Rain
8. Rashomon
9. Vengeance is Mine
10. Seventh Seal

I narrowed it down to about 25 candidates, and aftter the first five this was more or less a random selection from that list.

We've had enough for a top 50 list for a long time now. I just wanted as many votes as possible.

I'll start adding up the scores. It'll take me a while.

The People's Republic of Clogher
Maybe I'm too late, just saw this thread.

1. The Third Man (1949, Carol Reed)
2. The Searchers (1956, John Ford)
3. The Godfather Part II (1974, Francis Coppola)
4. The Wild Bunch (1969, Sam Peckinpah)
5. Once Upon A Time In The West (1968, Sergio Leone)
6. North By Northwest (1959, Alfred Hitchcock)
7. Brazil (1985, Terry Gilliam)
8. Blade Runner (1982, Ridley Scott)
9. Sonatine (1993, Takeshi Kitano)
10. Naked (1993, Mike Leigh)

So many I had to leave out - Goodfellas, The Godfather, Miller's Crossing, The Wicker Man, Vertigo, Once Upon A Time In America, The Seventh Seal, Chinatown....

But unluckiest of all is my number 11. The Bridge On The River Kwai
