Robert Blake RIP 1933-2023

Tools

He was "Mickey" in the later Our Gang / Little Rascals comedies.
Appeared as "Little Beaver" (an Native American boy) in multiple westerns.
Was one of the crew in PT-109.
Played Simon the zealot in The Greatest Story Ever Told.
Starred in In Cold Blood (probably his most famous movie appearance).
Appeared in The Lost Highway (1997).

Anyone have any opinions about his wife's murder case? Seemed to be one surrounded by unanswered questions.

I watched him when I was a kid and he was in The Little Rascals. He was great in In Cold Blood and Electra Glide in Blue, two excellent films with great performances by Blake. Then Baretta, a classic series. Then he was also fine in Of Mice and Men, the first version of the classic that I ever saw.

I know he's still suspected highly in the death of his wife but I can't judge him, only God can do that. I can only enjoy the performances he left us with. He did act pretty squirrely on talk shows even before his wife's death. Nevertheless, Godspeed Robert.

What about The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre?

Loved him in Baretta and Electra Glide In Blue. Also Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here. One of those guys that should have worked more but was known to be eccentric. And that whole thing with his wife sealed the deal and made him radioactive. You would think he and OJ would have gravitated towards each other and hung out.

RIP Mr. Blake.

Off the set, he didn't like being called Baretta.
