Idk anything about the 1910s sadly
I highly recommend The Cameraman's Revenge. It's a roughly 12 minute long stop-motion animated film made using dead bugs. You can find it easily on YouTube.

I love the 40s, 50s, 30s and 60s. Right now I'm working my way through all of Bogart's films staring at the first one. Before that I watched all of John Wayne's films from Stagecoach on. I've been meaning to watch all of the films from Bette Davis and Joan Crawford when I get the chance. Some of those stars really had a lot of movies to their credit, especially Bette Davis.
Have you seen all of our gal, Gloria Grahame's?.. There are only about 40 of them.. (Doc hasn't seen all of them)

Gloria Grahame movies:
The only thing I know about Gloria Grahame is from the 2017 movie Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool, which I liked. Maybe I need to watch a few of her movies . . .

Very impressive list, my man! You ought to be the first president of our Gloria Grahame fan club!!..

I've seen Charade ('71), but I don't remember much about it other than I was a big Warren Oates fan. GG had a very small part...

Not all of her movies were great but she was usually pretty great in them. She mainly played supporting roles. Gloria Grahame is known for noir, but also did westerns, comedy and even a musical, 'Oklahoma'.

I haven't seen much of Warren Oates but what I've seen of his films I liked, he's a good actor. I seen him in a couple of indie films, Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) and The Hired Hand (1971) with Peter Fonda. Come to think of it I once read he was friends with Fonda and they did Race with the Devil (1975) together, which was a pretty good & fun film too.

My favorites are Oklahoma and The Bad and the Beautiful.
But she only has supporting parts in them.
Now The Lonely Place is a good start for a future Grahame fan because she is the leading lady and she plays opposite Humphrey Bogart.

Don't forget the 1981 movie Stripes. He created one of the internet's favorite memes:

My Favorite by far would be the 60's...if I name two (can't name one) from each decade, it would be...(considering the year 1970 belongs to the decade of the 60's and so on)

1920's - The Passion of Joan of Arc, Metropolis
1930's - Modern times, The Rules of the Game
1940's - Bicycle Thieves, Germany Year Zero
1950's - La Strada, La Avventura
1960's - Persona, Eight and Half
1970's - Stalker, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
1990's - Eternity and A Day, Dancer in the Dark
2000's - Mulholland Drive, There Will Be Blood
2010's - The Great Beauty, The Shoplifters
