Alfred Molina is superb here. Colorful movie as a whole, I've seen it 3-4 times through the years.
It is #9 on my list.

Had "Erin Brokovich" and " "What Women Want". Liked them both, but realize that both get their fair share of flack.

" Songs from the Second Floor" , I totally whiffed on. It would have made the list.

I have Chocolat on DVD, but I don't know if I ever actually watched it. If I did, I don't remember it. I don't really do superhero movies so I never bothered with X-Men. I don't think I've even heard of Water for Maya.

Joaquin Phoenix and Charlize Theron are really gorgeous (and very good) in The Yards, but the movie is bogged down by a really wooden central performance from Marky Mark. I've never been a fan.

If I ever make a favorite superhero movies list, X-Men would be near the top of my list.

I've found this film by Michael Haneke couple of months ago.
It is #7 in my year 2000 top movies.

I haven't seen it in a long time, but I remember this film being a solid drama. Don't know why it got so much hate back then.
