I saw the Pixies this summer about 10 minutes drive donw the road from me at V Festival. They were awsome. Watching them and listeneing to 'Where is my Mind?' (i think thats the title, you now the one from Fight Club) whilst the sun was setting was amazing.

Anyway, I narrowly missed my oppurtunity to see Pixies a couple weeks ago since I was too overwhelmed at the time. Sonic Youth is one of my favorite bands, as well as Joy Division.

I find And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead a bit overrated though. As far as bands that are completely wrapped up in eighties avant-garde guitar work, there are better.

I saw the Pixies.. all I can say was wow. Especially when they broke into Cactus.

I´m surprised that so many people like the Pixies! I saw them two times last summer. Never seen Sonic Youth, ...trail of dead or a lot of the bands I like because I live in godforsaken Hellsinki (Finland) and very few bands are bothered to come here.
