A great thread for a great year, my favorites were already mentioned by other people aswell
I might add " the dead zone"and "Cujo" to the list if no one mentioned it

A sleeper hit for me was Local Hero, with Burt Lancaster and Peter Riegert. It's vintage Lancaster, and his style is mesmerizing.

Scarface was wonderful acting by Pacino et al, and the story was absorbing, although it let itself go too far over the top. And Terms of Endearment showcased 3 memorable performances in a touching story.

My top 10 in no particular order:

Christine
Return of the Jedi
Space Hunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone
The Outsiders
Jaws 3
War Games
Trading Places
Cujo
Risky Business
Twilight Zone: The Movie

Honorable mention: Sleepaway Camp

Scarface
Return of the Jedi
A Christmas story
Zelig
The Meaning of life
The Right stuff
Trading Places
National Lampoon's vacation
The Outsiders
Videodrome

“I was cured, all right!”
Nostalghia
That Day, on the Beach
Duel to the Death
Risky Business
Return of the Jedi

The following films, I haven't watched in years, but I have fond memories of them:
The Right Stuff
Christine
Sudden Impact

1) The Right Stuff
2) Trading Places
3) Psycho II
4) The Hunger
5) Videodrome

Cool!

It's very interesting, and Bresson's last movie.
I've seen it, it's an art piece thinker, from a film making perspective it's good. Flawless minimalist style is the kind of style I would use if i'd ever direct a crime film (never gonna happen lol). Popcorn ratings aren't appropriate for this kind of film imo so i'll give it 3 outta 5 stars. I gave Bresson's A Man Escaped 4.5/5.

1. Sans Soleil (Marker)

2. Jeune femme à sa fenêtre lisant une lettre (Rousseau)

3. City of Pirates (Ruiz)

4. L'Argent (Bresson)

5. À Nos Amours (Pialat)

6. Prenom Carmen (Godard)

7. Smorgasbord (Lewis)

8. Videodrome (Cronenberg)

9. The Hunger (Scott)

10. Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (Oshima)

11. Breathless (McBride)

12. Terms of Endearment (Brooks)

13. "Possibly in Michigan" (Condit)

14. Rumble Fish (Coppola)

15. My Brother's Wedding (Burnett)

16. So Is This (Snow)

17. Confidentially Yours (Truffaut)

18. Meantime (Leigh)
