And Randolph Scott unfortunately made a poor showing on the list, except for Ride the High County #63. He excelled at the Western and practically made it his whole career in the latter half of his oeuvre. My favorite of his which he starred in was Ride Lonesome (1959) which also featured James Coburn's film debut.
Co-sign Ride Lonesome also my fav Boetticher/Randolph Scott collaboration. have it @ #43 on my full list.

Ride Lonesome 1959 Directed by Budd Boetticher

Randolph Scott, Karen Steele, Pernell Roberts, Lee Van Cleef, James Coburn

No bs Western / Western, with a run time of only 1 hour and 13 minutes. No time for side missions to other genres it's a 100% pure revenge beef Western. Short, traditional, simple and straight to the point story line, with a great final shot.

@Holden Pike

A question regarding the points of Brimstone. I checked and according to your post, only one Brimstone received votes. I had it at #2 and according to @MovieMeditation 's post he had it as #16. By my math, those two alone would put it at 34 points which would be enough to make the bubblin' under (101-110). Is there an error somewhere?

Otherwise I’d be around 52-55%

While it did not make my List there is no denying Once Upon a Time in the West it's spot on this Countdown.

Rounding off my list at #5, and my third Clint Eastwood western, coming short against John Wayne's five.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Tuco: You gonna shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

Throughout my life, I have wavered on how I felt about this film. I have absolutely loved it and I have found it too long with FAR TOO MANY close-ups that had become a parody and were, in fact, parodied time and again. Becoming The Formula for a successful Western and that only hampers further films, not assist them in giving us an enjoyable venture. So, I have actually steered clear of this film in the past decades because of that.

And now, just over two decades since my last revisit, I quite enjoyed this film, it's length, it's grittiness, Leone's directing, Morricone's score. . . all of it. Without the cynicism that past parodies caused, and with all the enjoyment of watching a Tall Tale adventure with iconic characters and outrageous scenarios.
Pure popcorn-indulgence galore!

When this film initially came out, the Hays Code was on its last legs and dying quickly. The United States film-goer was hungry for films with far more edge, far more risque situations, and a more grisly outlook to many genres, including Westerns. And the Spaghetti Westerns fit the bill and gorged that hunger. With a Good Guy who wasn't really, A Bad Guy that we didn't just love to hate but really enjoyed and The Ugly character with a bombastic persona that was the dynamite to their cold, calculating fuses.
Each of them I have enjoyed more than the others throughout my life and with my last viewing, I did find Wallach's Tuco the star of this film this time around. His on-again, off-again, working relationship with Eastwood's Blonde making for so many great scenes and tossing Van Cleef's cold ruthlessness to the mix just took it all to another enjoyably outrageous level.

1) F@CKIN cool to see The Good, The Bad and The Weird and
2) To see it get an extra boost of love by placing it one slot above TGTBTU

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
Anyways, here’s my pathetic attempt at a (partial) westerns list:

(1 No Country for Old Men)
1 Django Unchained #12
2 The Good, The Bad and the Ugly #1
3 Once Upon a Time in the West #2
4 The Revenant #25
5 The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford #20
6 The Gold Rush #78
7 Dances with Wolves #7
8 High Noon #6
9 Westworld #69
10 A Fistful of Dollars #16
11 For a Few Dollars More #18
12 Hell or High Water #35
13 The Ballad of Buster Scruggs #33
14 Rango #41
15 Bone Tomahawk #54
16 Brimstone
17 Unforgiven #3
Actually, that's a pretty solid list. Nice f@ckin job, MM!!!!
A good 97% of it are favorites of mine as well. I'm so-so on Westworld. Don't hate, just and Bone Tomahawk and Brimstone have my respect and my enjoyment, but not strictly favorites.
I haven't seen For a Few Dollars More YET but it's guaranteed it'll hit the strict favorites, at the worst they'll be the Plus 1 on the invite.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
I was disappointed to see that John Wayne's Angel and the Badman didn't place anywhere as it's quite comical a movie where Wayne's gunslinger falls in love with a beautiful Quaker girl (played by the gorgeous Gail Russell). Although the overall stakes are serious, the movie is really funny. And frequent Wayne co-star Bruce Cabot is here also.

Once again, thank you Holden, for the enormous amount of work you put it in for this countdown. I really love the color photos, and the tinted representations. The best thing about this list is that there are many Westerns that non-fans and fans didn't know of that they are now interested in. I'm a long-time fan and I see a few I must watch that I was unaware of. Thanks again, pardner!
It was a bit of a surprise for me as well, not to see Angel & The Badman as well in the Countdown.

And fully agree about the must-sees.
I DID get to watch a few during and a good list of ones yet to see.

WOW!!
SERIOUS KUDOS to @Yoda for the record speed of getting the Countdown List up and running!!
AMAZING!!

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
I've seen 81% of this list. I think that might be the highest for me of any of these countdowns, (at least at the time that the countdown was done).

OK. So everything seems to be in order (well, except for the fact that my #2 didn't make even top-110). MM's post just got me wondering, but thanks for the clarification.
