It’s a tough call. I try to steer clear of bad films, which is a problematic approach in itself. Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016) was pretty awful. RT loved it but I... certainly didn’t.

I'm really nerdy about this topic, I also love watching some hilariously inept flicks. But for me to rank a film as "the worst" in has to meet a certain criteria. While horrible I won't count one of those zero budget horror or indie flick, those may be worse but for me a film has to have wasted real opportunity and or talent. And as luck would have it I just watched one of the biggest turds I've ever seen just last night.
Serenity with Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Diane Lane and a load of other great actors. I had no idea what this was, but from the previews I assumed it was a classy, neo-noir, old fashioned movie for grown ups. I can't spoil anything for any poor bastard yet to see this but it wasn't that. Easily the worst film in years for me, and a huge waste of resources.
