Round 12

1. Aurora - Animal
(I don't know if I like this more than my own nom or "Pissboy," but it's the only song I immediately listened to again, so what the hell --- I'll rank her first. Definitely some Bjork influence, but also very much its own thing. Mystical. Dainty. Pretty. Harmonious. Also dig this chick's look. I imagine she lives in an enchanted forest and communicates with fairies and woodland creatures. Excited for the discovery.)

2. Flatlinerz - Good Day to Die
(Take the devilish lyrics and hellish aesthetic of metal, transport it to rap, and you've got a fan in me. Love this album. A shame the group disbanded afterwards.)

3. Dream City Film Club - Pissboy
(Feel like I need a shower this is so greasy and skeezy. Love it! For some reason it put me in mind of the movie The City of Lost Children and the video game Bio Shock. Sounds like something you'd hear in the lounge of a dystopian future when most of the world is underwater.)

4. David Bowie - As the World Falls Down
(Love Bowie, but my hatred for Labyrinth and most things puppet-related is mentally handicapping an otherwise good song.)

5. Alan Jackson - Thank God for the Radio
(I wouldn't thank God if this came on the radio, but I wouldn't necessarily reach for the dial either.)

6. Europe - The Final Countdown
(Even when I was really into hair metal, the cheese factor here was a little too high even for myself. Just give me the chorus in timely moments and I'm good.)

7. L'Arc~en~Ciel - Niji
(It always takes me a couple minutes to find the "~" on my keyboard when resop nominates this band. Decent song, but the Japanese-style of singing is always a barrier for me.)

8. The Clash - Rock the Casbah
(Why do I feel like this has already shown up once before in this tournament? I'm sure it hasn't, but it seems to get nominated in every tournament. Way overplayed.)

Yeeeeesssss.....
All is going as planned.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
2. Alan Jackson - Thank God For The Radio
Not too familiar with Alan or country music but I like his sound, added this one and another 3 songs by him to my Country playlist.

I'm glad that you liked this song, and his music. Alan Jackson has been one of my favorite singers for years. If you like sad songs, I recommend his songs Wanted and Someday.

It'll likely be late tonight before I can listen through. I'll post up once I can sort them all.
