2016: Average, yet underrated

Tools

Just my view, but I think 2016 was a year of "average, yet underrated" films.
Here's some:

10 Cloverfield Lane
Don't Breathe
Get Out
The Fifth Wave

These are films that are disrespected, and we know we like to bash them, yet we continue to watch them.

If you disagree,
I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

Well, I've only seen The Fifth Wave from that list and I surely have no intention to ever watch it again. It was YA SciFi at its worst.

Can't really think of any films that would fit the description (partly because I don't know what films are generally considered bad). Maybe Sadako vs. Kayako could be one.

How can a film be average and underrated at the same time?

Besides, Get Out (which definitely isn't underrated anyway) is a 2017 film, The Fifth Wave is a 2015 film, Don't Breathe is bad, and 10 Cloverfield Lane - yeah, I'll grant that.

The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
The fact Get Out got the praise it got, even being the most cliched horror film ever only with an anti-racist background, makes it overrated, not underrated. And Iro is right, it's a 2017 movie.

So one film was "average but underrated" in 2016
