”The French Dispatch” is a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in 20th-century Paris and centers on three storylines.
Though this was once rumored to be a musical, those claims have been debunked. ()

The usual suspects have been rounded up. Murray, Swinton and McDormand are, however, joined by two new faces to the Anderson repertoire, namely Benicio “sleepy eyes” Del Toro and Timothée “sleepy eyes” Chalamet.

Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Lea Seydoux have also been rumored to take parts in the ensamble but nothing’s been confirmed.

The film is expected to drop late next year.

Saoirse Ronan, Henry Winkler, Jeffrey Wright, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Bob Balaban, Lois Smith, the aforementioned Seydoux and Mathieu Amalric have reportedly joined the cast of The Grand Budapest Hotel 2: Parisian Boogaloo.

Paul Thomas Anderson is the filmmaker behind Boogie Nights and Paul W.S. Anderson made the horrible 2011 bastardization of The Three Musketeers. Neither of them are Wes Anderson, the acclaimed filmmaker behind The Grand Budapest Hotel and Isle of Dogs and the upcoming The French Dispatch.

I guess that was a joke?

Oh heck yeah! My most anticipated film of the year (aside from perhaps Macbeth).

Wow, femme fatale Saoirse Ronan?
