The movie is old but should I still give a spoiler warning?

Basically after the police tore apart the car and find the drugs, they then have to get the car put back together for the sting operation. But how were they able to get the car put back together when they completely destroyed it pretty much and all the material for the seats and all, was destroyed in the process? Or did they use a similar looking car, but a different one?
