Here's the top 10

#10

Die Hard (1988)
John McClane as one of my favorite action movie characters and Willis does an outstanding job playing a police officer that uses his skills for survival against the bad guys that hold hotel building hostage. Also I like to give a special mentions to parts 2,3,4 for making this series an exciting one. The fifth movie was alright but you would think by then it's time to hang it up and move on to another different movie.

"Yippie Kai Yay Motherf**ker"

#9

The Warriors (1979)
Can you dig this movie suckas? I sure can and the movie had a cool plot to it. The Warriors are wrongfully accused for killing this leader of all gangs in the city and must make it back to home base which is Coney Island or they might get killed by an enemy gang trying to avenge the gang leader's death. I also love the video game that came out for PS2, what a classic game it was.

"Warriors, Come out to play"

Thunder Buddy Song - "When you hear the sound of thunder, don't you get too scared. Just grab your thunder buddy and say these magic words: F**k you, thunder! You can suck my D**k! You can't get me, thunder, 'cause you're just God's farts."
Funny that their shared hero wears a lightning bolt on his chest .

Die Hard is one of the greatest 1980s action films. I think it would make my list too.

The Warriors I rewatched quite recently and I just don't see the appeal. It feels awkward and silly and I just can't sympathize The Warriors. The film also brings bad memories on a personal level so maybe I'm unable to watch it without a bias.

#8

Scarface (1983)
You get the Money, Power, Woman and then you get f**ked over by other drug dealers if not careful, mmhmm that's why you don't get involved with drugs, people. Al's performance in this movie was great and does good playing as the bad guy in his movies. There's was also some memorable scenes in this movie too. The video game version released for PS2 was amazing and so fun to play as well.

*You wanna f**k with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!"

#7

Zombieland (2009)
One of the best things about the horror genre is when there's comedy in it with loads of zombie killing fun. The cast did a fantastic job with this movie and wishing the movie was a little more longer because I found them interesting to watch as they explore the zombie apocalypse world. When they arrive to the theme park threw half way to the movie, it gives me that vibe from a silly zombie video game that I love to play which is called Dead Rising Off The Record.

"The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties."

#6

American Pie (1999)
A movie about four high school seniors trying to make a pact to loss their virginity before the end of the school year and with the exception of Stifler's character which is friends with the four seniors, has already has lost his virginity. The storyline between Jim and Michelle was great and made me want to see what happens next as we go into the other three films which I thought were exciting to watch also.

"You realize we're all going to go to college as virgins. They probably have special dorms for people like us."

#5

Halloween (1978)
A great horror slasher that was made in the 70's and there was something about this movie I really liked about it maybe because of how interesting it was. A masked psycho killer stalking and killing babysitters for no apparent reason, now that's a creepy thing to see. My other favorite Halloween movies are 2,4,6 and 7 and can't wait to see the new Halloween movie coming out in October.

"It's Halloween; everyone's entitled to one good scare."

#4

Scream (1996)
The horror series that started to re-vive the horror genre and does an awesome job on making this a thrilling and funny teenage horror movie. This movie pretty much gives the other horror slasher movies a slap on the side of the head for being dumb and showing us on how it should be done when surviving a horror movie, but making some silly mistakes along the way. I also enjoyed the other three films and they never bore me.

"Never say you'll be right back, because you won't be right back"

#3

The Avengers (2012)
I love how there's six different unique superheroes are in one movie, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Thor. They form an alliance that was made by Nick Fury to stop Thor's evil brother Loki from committing such an evil plan which trying to destroy earth. My favorite character out of the bunch is Black Widow because she's a bad a** without superpowers.

"A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."

This is my favourite post in your entire thread, I think. Both films feature highly in my own 100. Halloween, Scarface and Scream are also excellent choices.

#2

Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
When first seeing this movie a few years ago, this movie shows me all the good excitement going on and the adventurous take to it also. You got to love Indiana's sarcastic cocky attitude in these movies and makes the bad guys look like fools. Also the third film was another enjoyable film for the series to watch and the second movie was decent. Last thing I want to say is, this movie has one of the best theme songs in cinema, imo.

" It's not the years, honey; it's the mileage."

#1

Goodfellas (1990)
The greatest mob movie ever made imo and the cast did an outstanding job in this movie, especially Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. I'm glad I never wanted to join a criminal group as to all the crap they go through day in and day out. When you do bad things to other people like kill them, be prepared to what happens next like jail time or possibly get revenge killed, which mostly happens in most crime movies.

So why is this movie #1 because I liked how the ending starts to wrap things up and how the theme song was playing it gives you that feeling like some serious s**t may go down. I also like when crime pays off in these crime films and the bad people get what they deserve.

"Never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut."

Raiders of the lost ark and Goodfellas are both fantastic!
How's your list going, it is still in progress or almost done?

Miss Vicky's Loyal and Willing Slave
Congrats on finishing your list 88. You managed to hit on another few of my favourites. Die Hard means you included my own top 4 favourite films. Warriors is good fun, as is Zombieland. And Avengers is another favourite film of mine. I don't think it's the best Marvel film but probably remains my favourite just because of how incredible it was to see all the character assembled together for the first time

Your honourable mentions list features a few favourites as well. It also features a few films I think are dreadful but I'll gloss over them. Big for Karate Kid, Lost Boys, Home Alone and Iron Man. I've also got a real nostalgic fondness for Hocus Pocus even though I've not seen it for a number of years now

Oh and I've added your list to the big master list of favourite film lists

Thanks, it sure wasn't an easy task

A few movies I don't care for but there were many more that I love. I agree with your #1
you must of been surprised to see I Spit on Your Grave Remake on this list which is #100, for the laughs I should of made the the original #1 lol to see what people would say haha but luckily I just left that out and just give everyone what #1 really is.
