Move to Europe!
Umm, I think trying to find someone to go with me to Berkeley or San Francisco is a slightly more reasonable option.

Perhaps I can con FF.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I'm so jealous of you two. I want to see YWNRH so bad, but the closest theater I can find is almost an hour's drive away and transportation is an issue.
It's out on Blu-ray unless you have to watch it in cinema.

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

#57 - Sam Peckinpah: Man of Iron (1993) ~ April 21

1hour+ TV doc about Peckinpah that mostly consists of interviews with people who worked with Bloody Sam. Decent pastime for fans.

#58 - Antiporno (2016) ~ April 28

A psychologically caged woman attempts to break free from her sexual traumas, emotional complexities and sorrow...
This was my first Sion Sono film and I must say that I'm really impressed. Splendid cinema!

#59 - L'Amant Double (2017) ~ April 29

Surreal, Cronenberg-esque film by one of France's best modern day directors, François Ozon. I enjoyed this quite a bit, even though it's far from a perfect film, especially narrative-wise. It does have a lot of other great things to offer.

#60 - Mildred Pierce (1945) ~ May 10

Gorgeous and engaging film noir that kept me in the dark until the end. It's a much grander film than I expected it to be. There's a lot of stuff going on. Loved it!

Dang, i missed this. Glad you liked it then, it's so great. I'm watching my fifth of his: Guilty of Romance in the next few days, he hasn't disappointed me yet and this sounds especially dark and just perfect for him.

#62 - The Source Family (2012) ~ May 12

I've always been fascinated with the concept of cults. This is one of those cool docs that lays out the outlandish experience of being part of a cult quite well. In this case the cult is pretty benign compared to others, but it still has its dark and (certainly) crazy sides as well.

REWATCH #7 - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) ~ May 12

One of the Harry Potter films I've seen the most in my youth. It was on TV and I kept watching it out of nostalgia. I can't say many bad things about Harry Potter films.

#63 - Your Name (2016) ~ May 13

Nice anime picture by Makoto Shinkai with beautiful animation and an intensely emotional story that works most of the time.

It probably doesn't deserve its current status as the "new Spirited Away" (as some are calling it), but it's certainly clear to me why so many people love this. It's the most financially succesful anime of all time now in Japan (not sure if that's taking inflation into account, though, I haven't looked into it yet).

#64 - All the King's Men (1949) ~ May 14

Very relevant epic about dirty politics. It asks the hard questions: Can goodness be built out of evil? How important is the truth? Until when does the end justify the means?
But above all, it's a classic tragic story about humanity's most dangerous addiction: the addiction to power.
