Everybody talks about it being a snuff film I don't think it is at all I think the common theme if anything is the almighty twist that has to be in each one, I love it
Yeah, the first two or so movies really aren't like that at all. It was beginning with 3 the series sadly shifted in the direction of extreme gore.
I thought the first couple or so were very well-crafted with smart storytelling and surprising twists.

I've really enjoyed the series for the most part. Saw X was surprisingly very good and is easily one of the better ones. Hard to believe the first Saw turns 20 later this year. Saw XI has already been announced and if it's as good as X if not better, it should be fine.
