You Ever Walk Out of the Theater?

Tools

I can recall walking out on two movies in my life and they were both "comedies." I'm harder on that genre than any for some reason, and I consider myself reasonably easy to entertain. The first was They Call Me Bruce? starring Johnny Yune and Margaux Hemingway, with Yune as a kung-fu goofball getting mixed up with the mob or something like that. I hadn't laughed once halfway through it, so I bugged out to go get something to eat as I recall.

The other one was The Out-of-Towners starring Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn. My wife and I thought the pairing of this two couldn't miss but about thirty minutes in, it certainly was missing, mainly laughs! I don't know, enough time has passed on both of these that if I saw they were going to play on television, I might give them a shot...if nothing else good was on.

I wanted to walk out of The Thin Red Line but I was with a friend who wanted to see it. With all those internal dialogues in the film, I almost fell asleep.

Walked out of Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance movie..

I walked out of The Omega Code, demanded my money back and received it.

I also walked out of The Golden Compass with a friend who was passing a kidney stone because I had to take him to the hospital. He later admitted, and I agreed with him, that passing the kidney stone was better than watching the movie.

I've never walked out of a movie, i actually always stay through the credits, but i did end up at the wrong movie once and i seriously thought about it. especially when all of the other theater goers left shaking their heads in disbelief, but i stuck through it and i'm glad i did, cause now i can say i have sat through possibly one of the worst movies ever made (The Fall)
I love "The Fall". It is beautiful, but, I must agree that it is not for most people.

I've never walked out on a movie before. I paid for it, I took the time to come there, I might as well stay and then I can always bitch about how bad it was afterwards...

But really, I usually never end up picking something that ends up being a total disaster. I think there has been two or three instances where the movie was really bad and I wanted it to end so badly.

Welcome to the human race...
^Pretty much. I've only ever walked out of a movie once, but it was Enter the Void so it was more the fact that it was just an extremely intense audio-visual experience and I could only take an hour before I had to leave.

I admit it was remake of Let the Right One In due to the bloodletting setting off my phobia of it in a way cinema generally doesn't,

I won't dance. Don't ask me...
I run out of cinema once. When I was a child I went on The Witches and when main witch (Anjelica Huston) showed her "true" face, I run away. And once I felt asleep. It was on Des hommes et des dieux. the movie wasn't bad. I was exhausted.

“Hell will hold no surprises for you.”
Yep.

Halfway through Doctor Strange, just went to eat. Movie was so boring.

I didn't walk out on it, but I certainly agree that the remake of The Out-of-Towners was a HUGE disappointment...John Cleese stole every scene he was in, but other than that, that movie really stunk up the place. As for myself, I have fallen asleep on several movies, which to me is the equivalent of walking out of the theater. I have only actually walked out of a movie theater once...it was a 1976 film called Nickelodeon with Burt Reynolds, Ryan O'Neal, Tatum O'Neal and Stella Stevens.

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?
Have never walked out on a movie, the closest I've came to walking out was The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Absolutely terrible movie, somehow I kept my willpower and tortured myself to keep my eyes on the screen.

Yes i've walked out of a movie and took my popcorn with me! Casino Royale, i was about 30 mins into it and was totally lost, just wasn't getting the plot.

I find myself walking out of movies more often than before (now more than once a year, I believe), but I am not really into asking for my money back. The only exception to this rule was being unable to sit with my gf during spider-man since the theater was so packed.

If I do walk out, it's no big deal, I simply don't want to waste my time on something not made for me. However, I do keep track of some things (director, movie series, production company, etc.) which impacts my decision to rent or pass on the next one.

I couldn't put up with Casino Royale any longer, i didn't ask for a refund i was just glad to be outside! I once got offered a refund at an ice skating show, i bought tickets for mums birthday and we had good seats, but the music was way too loud and we were next to the speaker, we accepted the refund

i once saw avatar, but i forgot the 3d glasses so i leave at the beggining
