Donnie Yen is returning to his iconic role of Wing Chun grandmaster Ip (Yip) Man in a fourth installment of the series and it was also announced that a spin-off that will revolve around Ip's final opponent from Ip Man 3, Cheung Tin-Chi, played by Max Zhang Jin, is also in the works.

Both films apparently will be going into production later this year according to a promotional video from Pegasus Motion Pictures.

I just saw the second. It was very well done.
It's always a pleasure to see the great Sammo Hung.
Tony Jaa seems to be busy these days,
Appearing in all sorts of action affrays.
I think that the fans must have wailed for more,
Hence why we'll be getting to see Ip Man 4.

Definitely see Ip Man 3 then. The fight between Yen and Max Zhang (whose character is getting the "side story" film) is mind-blowing as both characters are Wing Chun exponents.

“I was cured, all right!”
The IP MAN franchise and the SPL franchise are the best from Hong Kong lately, both of them are directed by Wilson Yip. He's the man!!

Will do. I will put it on my list,
So that I'll see Donnie Yen use his fist.
A little off-topic, but I happened to find
That IMDB's been around since '89.
