...Just imagine the conversations! It's hard to talk about a movie if only a couple of people have seen it...
After 3 years here I've found there's only so much one can say about a movie and usually it's:
'great movie, I need to watch it,' or something similar. I'm not trying to be jaded, but I guess I'm at that point.
I too would like more in-depth discussions about movies, but it rarely happens in any satisfying way. So much is surface talk, and it's hard to go beyond that. To me the internet seems like the greatest potential for people to be able to reach out and literally link minds. But in reality it's just the same old same old.
...Most of the time i check your thread it's movies i haven't seen so i can't really say anything. That's the biggest problem: this is a disparate group of people, that's a good thing in that it means there's loads of different personalities and perspectives but it does result in only a small amount of people watching or being interested in what you're watching...
I appreciate you looking in on my thread, I look at your Movie Log thread too, but I rarely know what to say on any thread, except the usual...
'great movie, glad you liked it'. Ugh, the humanity of it all.
I've lost interesting in writing reviews. I tried tonight to do a review, but just couldn't do it, that's the second time today I started, then deleted what I had wrote.
You should start joining Hall of Fames you'd like them...
I wish Matt would, mostly the movies are pretty good or at least interesting from a cinematic viewpoint. The Hofs are the only glue that keeps me here.
