I have always thought that Bernard Herrmann's score for The Ghost and Mrs Muir (1947) was particularly well suited to the plot.

A lot of people probably didn't notice, but the score for the 2005 action/adventure Mr. &
Mrs. Smith
with Brangelina, is absolutely flawless.
I love that soundtrack, Gid.
