Most Overrated Movies

It was at first I feel like but I think the hype kinda did die. I just wish someone besides Disney grabbed it.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The reception for this film was way blown over proportion due to nostalgia.
It's a good retro film but it's not that great there wasn't enough story for me.
It just felt like a re make.

Definitely John Wick Chapter 2

I didnt see any buzz about this apart from people going crazy about a little girl using bad language, so how was it overrated? Not usually my style because I dont like kids as the leads in my entertainment, but I thought the first one was great fun. 2nd - not so much.

you forgot Dark Knight Trilogy

76% on RT (with an 81% liked it) and 7.7 on IMDb, so it's still got a considerably favourable reception from critics and viewers alike. I tend to measure how "overrated" something is by how big the margin is between the general consensus and what I thought of it - needless to say, I thought very little of Kick-Ass.

What's funny is that Little Devil just assumed that Whale Song had "forgotten" it even though it's at least as likely that Whale Song doesn't consider it overrated.

I took Little Devils post as a joke since he listed loads of other popular movies Probably wrong though.

And not that i don't believe someone could think the Nolan Batmans are overrated, that's a perfectly reasonable position.

Actually yes I do. Batman begins is the only one I actually care about. The Dark Knight has Ledger death factor and the 3rd one has some good moments drowned in other more dumbfounding.

Visually well executed, but a movie is more than visuals.

He knows. DOn't worry.

I think Ikiru is melodramatic propaganda.
