How refreshing. Posters on the net who dont use the mislabel 'torture porn'. I swear I will stab the next person who posts torture porn, kiddy porn, food porn, cake porn, coffee porn, real estate porn, dress porn, jaw porn or any other *word* porn that is not actually porn.

movies can be okay...
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about a scary movie with gore, is a French film called Inside.

Yeah I couldn't watch that one. Not sure why. think I got abit irritated by it, but speaking of french gore - Martyrs.

Not sure if I would rate this as scary but Human Centipede 2 is pretty disgusting and gory. I never bothered with 3. Watch 2 a few times though. When he was knocking out their teeth I felt every whack.

Inside is pretty stupid, but it is easily the horror film with the most gore.
I remember watching Martyrs years ago, I liked it, but it's definitely one of those where you only watch it once.

There was a movie my friend and I saw in the theaters in the 80's. I really want to say it was called the Grim Reaper (maybe that was the American name, this was obviously an import) where some vacationing people are being stalked by a killer in what I want to say is a Greek villa/island (it was decades ago so my memories are fuzzy). At one point the killer takes out a pregnant woman and while killing her....reaches in and pulls the baby out! I'm not kidding. We were late teens and let me tell you, we were STUNNED seeing that!

Don't smack me but I watched it a few times. I always go for extreme horror when I feel a need to push myself out of my comfort zone. That movie always stayed with me for days and I like having that reaction after a string of movies that leave me feeling apathetic about them. I particularly wanted to see the end sequence again to ruminate over what was said to Madam. I have a few theories on her last decision and wanted to pick a side but never managed to. Sorry to be coy but I havent figured out how to use spoiler tags yet.

I don't even think the director even knows what the Madame was told or what she meant by the last line in this film, so every interpreted theory is and isn't the correct answer at the same time.

Agreed. It's why I loved it, and why I rewatched it after reading differing PoVs. Very well made film, I thought.

Forget all of this, watch "Philosophy of a knife"

Henry portrait of a serial killer, and the Evil Dead remake was pretty gory
