Dazed and Confused = A
Crippled Avengers = C+
I got to see Dazed and Confused replayed at The Logan Theatre in Chicago. Classic movie and a really fun time with my friends.
Crippled Avengers was a charmingly absurd martial arts film that I found on Netflix. Good for what it was, but I don't intend on ever watching it again.

So a friend and I had a Captain America marathon and I enjoyed it way more than I expected to...
Captain America: The First Avenger
I think this gets an unfairly bad rep - 6.9 on imdb, seriously? Enjoyed the period setting loads more than modern day cgi car smash fests. It's got a really good cast and some interesting characters.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Conspiracy thriller with superheroes. Fun. I like Fury. And Bucky.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Yawn. A slight blip in the proceedings. Dodgy cgi, tedious villain, tedious destruction. Move along, nothing to see here...
Captain America: Civil War
Really good. Really shows up Age of Ultron on how to involve multiple characters properly. People complain that there are no stakes with these movies because you know the heroes aren't going to die but they really made it feel like the emotional stakes here were higher than in something where they just have to band together to save the world.
. Also I felt like they nailed Spiderman's intro in this.

I honestly thought they might kill off War Machine or Bucky.

Warcraft (2016)
Been waiting a year to finally see this one. As a fan of WoW I enjoyed this and thought they did very well keeping the lore intact with only a few minor changes that were understandable. There was a ton of CGI admittedly but at times it looked amazing, in some scenes the orcs looked incredible. I'm a huge fan of the TV show Vikings, so seeing Travis Fimmel in a movie was awesome.
Admittedly though this film had its shortcomings. Some of the acting wasn't great, it was a CG-fest, and I can understand people not familiar with the games having trouble following the story. Either way I enjoyed it and can't wait to watch it again!

Out 1
The most befuddling cinematic experience I've ever had. Out 1 is frustrating and exhausting...yet it should be experienced at least once in a person's lifetime. What an overwhelming experience this was. Such an odd film.
13-hours well spent, I guess.
The Conjuring 2 (2016) - James Wan
- THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE WORLD NEED MAN. This movie is a complete blast and it show the world that James Wan is one of the best director working today. I was so hype for this movie and I am sssssoooo happy that my hype was justified because this sequel must be the best sequel I have ever seen. I like even more than the first one and the first one was a blast for me. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are badass their portray of Ed and Lorraine Warren are perfection put on a screen. The Camera Works are awesome and so stylish, the score and soundtracks giving me goosebumps all movie long and the tense atmosphere is just the perfect James Wan touch that I highly like and appreciate. Folks If you are an horror fan, YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS ONE. Definitely in my Top 100 and probably the best theater experience of the last 3 years.

I never thought it was scary and aside from the characters and some touching moments, it was the most bland horror film. The only cool thing I liked as a scare was the crooked man, but the horror really lacked the Wan feel. The plot is so convoluted at the end too. All the questions about if she was faking or not just completely took me out of the movie. The first one is a good film with great scares, this felt like hogwash half-assed horror.
WARNING: spoilers below
The Part when the dog become the big Monster is really f*cking awesome and scare the living sh*t out of me

I'm not agree because it's a big part of the investigation and also the whole movie is really scary with a great atmosphere

The fake out of Wilson's death was complete horse sh*t too, not saying he should have died, but all those visions are just terribly executed. All of the drama in the film is just silly and there is a huge lulls in pace.

Return to Sender (2015)
A raped nurse punctiliously exacts her retribution
Rosamund Pike looks like she was auditioning for Ex Machina during most of this film-- Yes, Yes, damaged person, we get it, but that constant robotic stare and detached personality doesn't go far to induce empathy.
Maybe that was the intended purpose, hence the lackluster addition of dear old dad (Nick Nolte, the only kinda good thing about this film) -- an old beardy-gruff-grandpa who loves his daughter and his dog. Well, if Nick Nolte, his beard, and his dog love her.....
Now lets concentrate on the rapist (did I just type that?). Shiloh Fernandez, handsome bad boy. I hope we were supposed to like him more than the heroine. We were, weren't we? Would've been way more interesting with say, a balding man in his 50's but the leads sure are perty together, ain't they?
Let me tell ya something about revenge movies. Tarantino has got it absolutely f@cking right. You need a payoff. You need to be invested to enjoy the payoff, and most importantly, the payoff has to be juicy. You guys got that?
Silly silly movie -- I would have preferred seeing 2 hours of Rosamund Pike shaving her legs

1964's Hamlet is a ******* masterpiece! King Lear by the same director is pretty dope, too!

Good film didn't really find it to be that funny though. I enjoyed the character moments and some of the ways he fvcks things up, but they take it to an absurd place, I really hate when everything goes wrong in these types of comedies.
