It's funny you should mention McGann because James McAvoy really reminds me of him in these films. I think it's his intonation as well as the humour.

Not too sure about Irons, and he'd be a lot older than McGann.

I think Christopher Plummer would have been amazing as Magneto, and of course Michael Fassbender is very like him at the same age.

I considered Daniel Day-Lewis for young Magneto (he'd be closer to McGann's age) but I can't ever see him taking a superhero movie even in fantasy casting (and I consider fancasting him as being kind of a cheat.)

Irons is older but I think the role can support that. He has a similar presence to Fassbender, I think. Charming yet intimidating.

I haven't seen X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine or The Wolverine.

Very interesting – I'm not sure which X-Men character Dourif would be best as, but Nightcrawler seems decent enough.

I must admit I had a hard time finding someone who would be good for the role.

I'd go with Dourif as Toad in the first X-Men.

Toad crossed my mind! I didn't know whether he would fit the bill though as I only know the character from the first film, and I don't know how accurate he was to the comics.

I had Ray Park's portrayal of Toad from the first film in mind when I cast Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Who could have been a good Mystique? Couldn't find anyone for the role.

I have always wondered who could possibly match the charisma of Marlon Brando in The Godfather. I think Johnny Depp would be apt to play Don Corleone.

I always wanted to see Willem Dafoe into Freddy Krueger's character. Don't know why, his laugh maybe haha
